are loads of "how to write copy" books and programs
out there, but in the end, if you're not a trained writer
with the talent and skills to know what really converts

you're really just shooting in the dark. Copywriting just
isn't something that anyone can do, and it's such
a critical part of your small business marketing, it would
be crazy to try to do it yourself.

Our Process:
We start with a brief initial consultation
with Susan Baroncini-Moe, CEO of Business in Blue Jeans.
You'll talk about what you're looking for in your copywriting
-- your target market, your small business goals, the tone
of voice you want to strike, the unique phrases that you
use regularly that you'd like to see in your copy, and more.
Susan will give you an official quote and you'll start your
project.
We'll invite you to send us your own
writing samples, including articles you've written, copies
of your e-zine, copies of your books, and any audio samples
you have of yourself talking. This helps us to make sure
we've captured that which makes you uniquely you
in your copy. In some cases, if we're writing copy for a
book or audio program, we may ask you to send us a sample
copy, so we can make sure we're covering all the important
points of that product.
About a week after we receive all
of your materials, we'll send you your first document. This
will be just 2-3 pages of copy -- a sample to use to make
sure we're striking exactly the right tone you want to convey
to your audience. Once we have your feedback on the initial
document, we'll provide more copy and continue revising
until you're happy.
All told, the process can take anywhere
from 14 to 60 days, depending on how many pages we're writing
and how complex the content is.
